Regarding worship styles, we all have our preferences. And just like preaching, I try to look beyond the style and see what the substance is before I start to complain or be critical. And that comes down to: in preaching, the Word, and then with singing, the words. Contemporary music can use a lot less I/me/mine, and a lot more You/Thee/Thou (or Father/Christ/Spirit)!
I agree that substance matters more than style. I especially like some of the new hymns that have come out within the last few years.
